Hi, I’m the Museumist, and I have opinions. Museum-y opinions. If one were in a word-play sort of mood, one might even say that I have “musings on museums.” But let’s not say that, shall we?
A recent college graduate, I’m planning on pursuing an MA and career in museum curating. I don’t have a museum studies degree yet, but what I lack in academic background I make up for in Art History experience, American Studies knowledge, and good old-fashioned judgmentalism.
Also, growing up, my mom and I had a deal: anytime we went on a trip somewhere, we had to visit as many cultural institutions as we did clothing stores. The size of my wardrobe stands as a tribute to my cultural experience and museum expertise. Whatever works, right?
